South-Indian style. La marks the lagna (ascendant); ℞ retrograde.
- Jupiter, lord of the lagna, stands in the 10th house — the chart lord in the karma house, alone there as a benefic, forming Amala yoga.
- The Sun, 9th lord, rises in the lagna itself — the fortune house's lord on the ascendant, sharing the lagna's own nakshatra.
- Saturn sits in its own sign in the 2nd with Venus, the 11th lord, beside it; Mercury and Rahu occupy the 12th; the waning Moon holds the 11th; Mars is debilitated and retrograde in the 8th, with a classical cancellation (neecha bhanga) through Jupiter's kendra position. Grahas flank the Moon on both sides — Durudhara yoga.

§ 3Career
The chart's centre of gravity is the 10th house, reached from the lagna itself. The chart lord in the karma house is the classical signature of a life organised around work — identity and profession are not separable here. Kanya on the 10th is Mercury's sign: analysis, service, detail, advisory. Amala yoga is read in Phaladeepika as lasting reputation — work regarded as clean and honourable.
But the 10th lord Mercury sits in the 12th, in its own nakshatra, with Rahu. The engine of the career operates behind the scenes: research, strategy, foreign or remote channels, work whose substance is private even when its results are public. The combined picture: a person whose position is public (Jupiter in the 10th, Sun rising) but whose method is private. Front-of-house identity, back-room craft.
The Moon in the 11th — the mind lives in networks, alliances, and gains; Vishakha's classical signature (the triumphal arch) is fixed pursuit of a goal. Waning and at the rashi's last degree, the tradition reads sustained emotional bandwidth as the scarcer resource — drive is goal-shaped rather than steady-state.
§ 4Finance
Saturn in its own sign in the 2nd is the anchor: disciplined, conserving, slow-accumulating — and with Venus, the lord of gains, beside it, income ties to structured work rather than windfalls. This 2nd house does not leak. The caution sits opposite: Mars, lord of speculation, debilitated and retrograde in the 8th. Even with its cancellation, this is the classical flag against leverage, trading, and fast bets — build through the Saturn channel, not the Mars channel.
§ 5Business
What the structure supports: expertise-led, reputation-compounding work — advisory, technical services, research-driven products — where depth is the moat and the network brings the work in. What argues for care: the initiative signature is quiet — the 3rd house is empty and its lord sits in the 2nd, so outbound grind needs structure or a partner; and Mars in the 8th spends its courage in crises rather than campaigns — excellent in a firefight, uneven in a long sales march.
§ 6The current period
The running sub-period is coloured by the 12th house — a quiet-building window the tradition marks for product, research, and foreign channels. The sub-period that follows, from mid-2028, belongs to the lagna lord in the 10th — the strongest professional window of this seventeen-year mahadasha — and by transit Saturn currently sits in one of its favourable positions from the Moon: no Sade Sati pressure. Whatever is meant to become visible should be ready to surface then.

- Saturn — the lagna lord — stands in its own sign in the lagna itself: Shasha Mahapurusha yoga, one of the five great classical configurations, and the defining fact of the chart.
- The Sun, in its own sign, sits in the 8th with Jupiter and with Venus — the chart's yogakaraka — beside it: an engine-room stellium.
- Mercury, the 9th lord, holds the 7th; Mars, lord of gains, sits in Rohini in the 5th, forming Sunapha yoga from the Moon.

§ 3Career
Shasha yoga is the classical portrait of discipline as identity: endurance beyond ordinary limits, authority built slowly and held long, comfort with responsibility that grinds others down. The person is the structure.
The 8th-house stellium says where that energy goes. The 8th is depth — hidden systems, other people's resources, due diligence. An own-sign Sun there is power exercised out of sight, and the yogakaraka spending itself here rather than in the visible 10th means the career's best energies go into the deep interior of things: infrastructure, finance mechanics, the parts of a venture nobody tweets about. The outward channel is the 7th-house Mercury — negotiation, alliances, one-to-one persuasion — with fortune, classically, arriving through partnerships.
§ 4Finance
The wealth houses answer to the strongest planet in the chart — slow, structural, unglamorous accumulation — and Mars as lord of gains in the 5th links income to created things. The caution: the yogakaraka and Jupiter both sit in the 8th — resources entangled with other people's money; investors, joint capital, deferred payoffs. The tradition's advice for an 8th-house Venus is patience: value accrues but unlocks late.
§ 5Business
The holder's profile. Structure, endurance, deep systems, and negotiated alliances — with genuine comfort in the hard interior of a company: cap tables, debt, risk. The visible front is the thin part: the 10th is empty, its energies redirected inward, so left alone this chart builds a superb machine nobody hears about. It needs a front — a partner or a deliberate system for the public face.
§ 6The current period
This is, honestly read, the chart's heavy stretch: Sade Sati is active and the running sub-period belongs to the lagna's Saturn — a load-bearing, foundational window the tradition marks for consolidation rather than expansion, easing from mid-2028 and tapering fully by around 2032. One countervailing note: by transit, Jupiter spends the coming year exalted in the partnership house — classically a good season to form the alliance even while the load is heavy.
§ 1Nakshatra taras
Tara counts run in both directions and need not agree. Here they don't — which is itself informative.
| Direction | Tara | Classical reading |
|---|---|---|
| Arjun → Dhruv | Pratyari (5th) | The obstacle tara — classically cautioned |
| Dhruv → Arjun | Sadhaka (6th) | Accomplishment — favourable |
A mixed result, and the honest reading is directional: from Arjun's side the classical count flags friction; from Dhruv's side it reads as accomplishment through the other. The tradition's practical gloss on a Pratyari–Sadhaka split is a relationship that works better in motion — pursuing something together — than at rest.
§ 2Other kutas
- Rashi — samasaptaka. The Moons sit in exact mutual sevenths: opposite ends of one axis. The classical reading is complementarity with polarity — the two minds face each other, which is engagement, not distance.
- Graha maitri — neutral. The Moon-sign lords are mutually neutral: neither kinship nor friction; respect built by results rather than instinct.
- Gana — Rakshasa with Manushya. A pairing the texts mark as middling and worth naming rather than hiding: different default temperaments, the sharper and the steadier.
- Nadi — different. The tradition's favourable sign for constitutional difference: you tire at different times.
§ 3The one caution, stated honestly
The lagnas sit in a 2/12 relationship (dwirdwadasha) — a standard classical caution about mismatched rhythms of give and take. Most traditions weight the Moon-sign relationship more heavily, and there the samasaptaka is clean — but the indicator exists, and paired with the one-directional Pratyari tara it localises the friction on Arjun's experience of the partnership: the classical picture is that Dhruv will find the pairing straightforwardly productive, while Arjun will at times feel the drag. Worth knowing which chair the friction tends to visit.
§ 4Functional complementarity
| Arjun | Dhruv | |
|---|---|---|
| Defining feature | Lagna lord Jupiter in the 10th, Amala yoga; Sun rising | Shasha Mahapurusha — own-sign Saturn in the lagna |
| Center of gravity | The visible front: reputation, positioning, networks | The deep interior: own-sign Sun and yogakaraka Venus in the 8th |
| Mercury | 12th house — private, written, strategic; a back-room analyst's Mercury | 7th house — negotiating, one-to-one, counterparty-facing |
| Classical role | The face and the fortune (9th lord rising) | The spine and the vault (structure and other people's money) |
One holds the front, one holds the frame. Arjun's chart is built to be seen — chart lord in the karma house, benefic-clean 10th, network-dwelling Moon — while its actual craft happens in private. Dhruv's chart is built to hold — Shasha endurance, an engine-room stellium — while its outward skill is the negotiated deal, not the broadcast.
Where they complement each other
- Public narrative vs. structural depth. Arjun carries positioning and the external network; Dhruv carries systems, endurance, and the financial interior. Neither covets the other's ground — the classical signature of a low-rivalry pairing.
- Preparation vs. negotiation. Arjun's 12th-house Mercury drafts the strategy; Dhruv's 7th-house Mercury sits across the table and closes it. A genuine pipeline, not an overlap.
- Crisis vs. campaign. Arjun's Mars is a crisis instrument — sharpest when things break. Dhruv's Saturn is a campaign instrument — strongest over long, grinding arcs. Failures of different shapes land on different desks.
Where they double up — agree on one owner
- Both charts are Saturn-heavy conservators. Two disciplined, risk-averse resource-keepers is a strength for runway and a weakness for boldness. Decide deliberately who is allowed to argue for the risky bet, or the default will always be “not yet.”
- Both current periods pull behind the scenes. Both charts' running dasha lords occupy the 12th — quiet, foreign, back-room work. The outward motion of the venture must be scheduled and owned, not left to temperament.
Shared blind spots — systematize or hire
- Outbound push. Both 3rd houses are empty with their lords elsewhere — neither chart natively carries the cold-start, high-volume sales grind. The pairing's clearest structural gap: build process around outbound early, or hire the loud thing.
- Broadcast presence. Marketing-as-performance belongs to neither chart; marketing-as-credibility suits both.
§ 5Timing overlap
| Period | Arjun | Dhruv |
|---|---|---|
| Now – early 2028 | Quiet-building sub-period; no Saturn pressure | Heavy stretch — Sade Sati first phase with a Saturn sub-period |
| From mid-2028 | The strongest professional window of his seventeen-year mahadasha opens | Turns into a friendlier sub-period the same season |
The asymmetry is the useful fact: through early 2028 one chart is unburdened while the other carries the classical heavy load — so external commitments tilt one way and deep structural work the other. Then both charts change gear in the same season, an unusually synchronised shift; whatever is being built quietly now has a natural surfacing window there.
§ 6The playbook
- Arjun owns the face; Dhruv owns the frame. Positioning, narrative, and network to one; systems, finance mechanics, and operational endurance to the other — written into roles, not assumed.
- Run negotiations as a pipeline: Arjun prepares, Dhruv conducts. Neither improvises the other's stage.
- Appoint a devil's advocate for boldness — two conservative Saturns will starve the venture of risk. Set an explicit quota of deliberate bets and rotate who champions them.
- Own outbound as a system, not a temperament: decide in month one whether it's a process, a hire, or a named rotating duty.
- Load-balance for the asymmetric stretch, and put a review in the calendar for the season both charts change gear.
- Bridge the processing gap in writing: one thinks privately before speaking, the other thinks in dialogue. A shared decision log keeps both legible.
- Name the friction's address. The classical indicators place the drag on Arjun's side; agree now that “this is dragging for me” is an expected conversation, not a betrayal of the partnership.
